Feeling Like a Pin Cushion
From the start of this cancer I haven’t been keeping track, but I expect that between weekly, and other routine blood draws, ER and hospital stay, injections, IV infusions, and the bone marrow biopsy, I have been punctured at least one hundred times.
I have this great vein on the top of my left hand. That is where I get the IV line each week. Other blood draws still come from a vein in my arm.
Even though I am left handed, when I use my computer mouse, I use it right handed. I also tap away on my tiny device keyboard mostly right handed because I hold it in my left hand more securely.
When I am prepared for the transplant I will get a “port” in my chest that will make it easier to deliver the designer drugs and most likely be used for any future infusions.

FINALLY! Was wondering when they were going to give you a line so they wouldn’t have to keep stabbing you. You’ve got this. Stay hydrated to flush out all the bad stuff more quickly! LOVE YOU!

Looking over my latest bloodwork shows that my out of ranges are trending more towards normal.
My MSpike level is considerably down from April. Need it to be near to zero as possible before the transplant.
It’s .32 now. Down from 4.97 in early May.
The drugs are working but that doesn’t mean that I feel any better right now.
I go back to Moffitt on August 18 for a follow-up with the transplant doctor.
